We do not recommend this hotel for:
An amazing honeymoon, A romantic getaway, People with disabilities, Older travelers
..."We had a spacious, deluxe room with a fantastic beach and ocean view. There are two great pools, one in the garden courtyard and another on the second floor patio overlooking the beach. Breakfast is in a restaurant on the 11th floor – the view is fabulous but the food, unfortunately, was not – it was only adequate (although better than at the Asia Paradise where we had spent our first two nights). Also on the top floor is a bar with free pool tables – pool and two-for-one drinks were a pleasant way to spend happy hour each afternoon. There is a book exchange on every floor but, unfortunately, most were in Russian.
The hotel is located about I km away from the main tourist area, a drawback because there are few restaurants nearby. We turned this into an advantage each evening by walking along the back streets toward the tourist area and dining in small local restaurants that we encountered along the way – we discovered new dishes and experienced the genuine friendliness and hospitality of Vietnamese people who did not deal with tourists every day.
So, forget the other rather dated reviews of the Yasaka – this hotel is definitely recommended."
